My ambitious career as a Maritime officer on board of Nedlloyd / P & O Nedlloyd and thereafter Maersk vessels ended when I decided to work as a superintendent for several different clients.

At the end of 2009 I thought it time for a new challenge in my career and life and that I most definitely found at Tanido B.V. where I am active as a Marine Surveyor since April 2010.

Working as a Maritime officer had its advantages because I know all there is to know about a vessel. For me it has no hidden secrets. As ship’s mate everything from draughts, cargo up to ballast is known territory and to add some spice I also worked as an engineer on board of the vessels as well. Therefore anything related to bunkers and the bunkering itself is common knowledge.

Being active as a Tanido surveyor is a “life changing experience”, to say the least. It is an experience that shakes your life upside down, but it is a challenging and fulfilling task. Every day and every new assignment is different and that I thrive on.
