Recently the Rotterdam Port Authority has launched the Bunker Monitoring Platform as an answer to the negative newspaper publications on the current bunker business ethics in the Dutch ports.

Tanido b.v. designed and tested a double check method on bunker barges, based on the principles of Archimedes, in order to get a firm grip on the delivered and/or the received quantity.

Advanced measuring equipment and a computerised survey program keeps track of the entire bunker oil delivery to vessels entering the ports of Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Flushing, Ghent, Terneuzen and Zeebrugge. For the analysis of the oil (quality) we co-operate closely with the most outstanding laboratories in Holland and Belgium. We are convinced that our dedicated technique will bring the two partners, the bunker supplier and the receivers of the oil, the ship owners, closer together!. |
